Graduation Day Teaching Andrew Hill teaches in the graduate program within the School of Ministry at the University of Dallas. He has taught "Canon Law" (2008) with Michael Dunnigan, and taught “Pastoral Administration and Management” (2007) with Dr. Daniel Luby. He has also taught in the School of Ministry's Adult Faith Formation Program, including "Introduction to Canon law" (2010). Hill also teaches Philosophy at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas, including “Introduction to Philosophy” (2010). Before moving to North Texas, Hill taught at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, where he was appointed to the Associate Faculty of the Graduate School as a Lecturer on May 1, 1998. After five years, he was promoted to Senior Lecturer for Law and Ethics “in recognition of distinguished teaching service to the University.” As a Lecturer and then Senior Lecturer, Hill taught in a number of departments, including the Theology Department (e.g. Civil Law and Church Administration); the English Department (e.g. Media Law and Ethics); and the Political Science Department (International Law and Treaties, and International Legal Systems). He also served as an Faculty Examiner on Comprehensive Examination Committees, which conducted both oral and written examinations of graduate students. Hill taught distance learning and service learning classes, independent study courses, and was the on-site Director for the London Study Abroad Program in 2002. The London program that year enrolled 36 undergraduate and graduate students, who represented thirteen different majors. In addition to teaching, Hill was responsible for every aspect of the program in London, including: primary responsibility for the safety and well-being of the students; scheduling weekly classes and field trips; staying in communication with University officials; and managing the budget of the program.
