Over the years, I have been involved in a number of successful grants, both as an individual applicant and as part of some very successful teams.
2013 United States Institute of Peace Grant
The grant supported the 2013 Peace and Conflict Studies Summer Workshop at St. Mary's University and Northwest Vista College.

2012 Lilly Fellows Program Grant
The grant supported the 2012 Lilly Fellows Program Summer Seminar for College and University Teachers at the Corrymeela Peace Centre.

2004 United Nations Mini-Grant
The grant supported our work on campus at St. Mary's University.

2003 San Antonio Area Foundation Grant
The grant supported our work at the Guadalupe Home in San Antonio.

At St. Mary's University, we successfully applied to the TXCC for a three-year grant to fund an AmeriCorp* VISTA volunteer position for our Center, and I then joined the TXCC committee that in-turn wrote the proposal for the next three-year, $1.5 million “Learn and Serve Grant” from the Corporation for National and Community Service.
