Assistant Director, 2006 - 2008In 2006, I was hired to serve as the Assistant Director of the Institute for Religious and Pastoral Studies at the University of Dallas.
The Director, Dr. Brian Schmisek, had an ambitious agenda to re-found the twenty-year-old Institute Institute as a graduate school within the University. This major expansion involved hiring new faculty and staff, developing new programs, and making significant changes to our structure and governance. In my role, I was responsible for a wide range of issues, including the enrollment management (e.g. admission & scholarships) and for handling student affairs issues for the School (e.g. students with disabilities). My purview also included marketing, as we expanded the previous newsletter into a full-fledged magazine for the new School, called Adventus, for which I was the first editor. |
