This was an overview of FERPA (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99). Abilene, Texas, June 7 - 9, 1998. Co-Presenter, Preventing Sexual Assualt & Other Violence in Greek Systems, presented with Mary Wynn, the Director of the San Antonio Rape Crisis Center. The address was part of the Greek Life Week at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and was sponsored by the Inter-Fraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council, and the UTSA Student Affairs Office. We discussed issues involved in sexual assaults, such as alcohol, vitiation of consent, legal definitions and consequences. The event was held at the University of Texas at San Antonio. San Antonio, Texas, April 1, 1998. Presenter & Co-sponsor, Greek Convocation on Risk Management. This event was sponsored by the Greek Life Team of St. Mary’s University, which consists of the Advisors, the Presidents of the Greek Sorority Council and the Inter-Fraternity Council. This three part event included: "Greek Life 101," a training program for new members; the Dean’s Roundtable, a monthly dinner and update session for chapter presidents; and a lecture by Judge Mitch Crane, a nationally recognized expert on hazing, who spoke on risk management issues for fraternities and sororities. My presentation was titled: Texas Hazing Laws and the Principles of Risk Management, which was presented as part of the "Greek Life 101" training program. The event was held at St. Mary’s University. Presenter, Search and Seizure Issues in Residence Halls, training session for Residence Life staff, panel discussion with Karen Johnson, Dean of Students, and Lisa McDougle, Director of Residence Life.
