2003 San Antonio Area Foundation Grant

The grant supported our work at the Guadalupe Home in San Antonio.
In 2003, I was the Director of the Service Learning Center and I worked with Melissa Valek on a successful grant to support our work with the Guadalupe Home, a shelter for at-risk pregnant women and new mothers.

2003 Texas Campus Compact Grant
At St. Mary's University, we successfully applied to the Texas Campus Compact for a three-year grant to fund an AmeriCorp* VISTA volunteer position for our Service Learning Center, and I then joined the Texas Campus Compact committee that in-turn wrote the proposal for the next three-year, $1.5 million “Learn and Serve Grant” from the Corporation for National and Community Service.
