The First Debate: Govenor Romney versus President Obama
A dedicated team of faculty, staff and students, under the leadership of Craig Coronoes, planned and successfully implemented the "Debate Watch" program at Northwest Vista College.  The three events were attended by over 500 students.
On Wednesday, October 3rd, we sponsored a Debate Watch Party at Northwest Vista College, and it became one of the largest events in the history of NVC with 250 students, faculty and staff participating.

Rock The Vote - Use Your Political Power -
Register Today! Tuesday, October 2, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Location: CCC Lakeside
Come out and:
• Meet different local political candidates,
• Enjoy some music; special appearance by local artist and our very own NVC student bands, &
• Most importantly come register to vote
On Tuesday, September 25, 2012, NVC hosted an evening of political discussion and debate between the two candidates for District 117 of the Texas House of Representatives, Philip Cortez (D) and the Honorable John V. Garza (R). I had the pleasure of working with a team that was made up of Craig Coroneos, Mark Camann, Evan Bohl, Carlos Lopez, Melissa Monroe-Young, and - as always - Migdalia Garcia.  We also got great cooperation from AC Police and TLF.
NVC has launched an on-going Voter Registration Drive, and volunteers have been staffing tables and going to classes in order to register students.
